Do you all have any recipes that maybe you were introduced to thru in-laws, friends, roommates or co-workers that looked odd or sounded odd... but is actually good?

I have one. Kevin's family always w/ Thanksgiving and Christmas has Crackers and Gravy. A Bowl of Chicken Gravy w/ Saltines in it. It's a side dish. His sister's (twins) LOVE IT...
