6 medium apples
1 c water
½ c light brown sugar
¼ c butter
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
Pare, core and slice apples thick. Place in a large saucepan with the water. Cook over medium heat until partially soft. Add brown sugar, butter and lemon juice. Heat a few more minutes and pour into bowl. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg
